Acceptable Use Policy

Version

1.1

Hi! Thanks for signing up for Brandy and taking the time to read this Acceptable Use Policy, which is likely not your ultimate ideal of fun.

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) is designed to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, prevent abuse of our Services, and protect the interests of both our customers and their contacts, as well as our goodwill and reputation. By using any of Brandy’s Services you are agreeing to the terms of this AUP. We appreciate your consideration and look forward to creating a safe, respectful, and responsible environment for everyone.

Platform Requirements

As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure and trustworthy ecosystem, our platform has certain requirements that users must adhere to. These platform requirements are essential for ensuring the integrity of our services and the protection of our mutual reputation. By following these requirements, you help us maintain a high standard of performance, security, and compliance.

  • Address Collection and Contact Lists - To safeguard the integrity of our invite notification services and respect the privacy of recipients, we require registered users to obtain affirmative consent (opt-in) from all recipients of invite requests in order to continue the sending of any follow-on communication from the Brandy platform.

  • Unsubscribing - Recipients must be informed about how to withdraw their consent at any time. Commercial emails sent through the Brandy platform allow for a clear opt-out mechanism for receiving future messages. Compliance is provided through an opt-out link in the footer of each email. This link is not to be removed, obfuscated, or manipulated in any way. Use of unauthorized external unsubscribe processes is prohibited. If there is an opt-out menu or preference center offered, one menu option must allow for a complete opt-out of all messages.

  • Shopper Verification Badges - Any registered users of the brandy platform may choose not to reveal that they have shopped any particular brand tracking purchases traced back to Brandy users and reject being granted a Verified Shopper Badge visible to other Brandy registered users.

  • Deceptive Written Endorsements - Users may not provide misleading or deceptive information in their personalized statement when endorsing a brand.

  • False or Misleading User Data - Brandy prohibits the use of photos, identity, or any other information owned or written others within their own Brandy registered user profile without consent.

Prohibited Behavior

By adhering to these guidelines, we ensure a positive experience for everyone within the Brandy community.

  • Failure to secure your Brandy account, resulting in an account compromise or account takeover (ATO) that negatively impacts Brandy’s Services to other customers;
